As reported by The Express Tribune, following the recent release of Kendrick Lamar’s "Not Like Us: The Game," Drake's fans wasted no time in responding with their creation, "Family Matters: The Game," inspired by Drake’s intense diss track.
In the game, players aim to shoot Grammy Award trophies into Kendrick’s mouth while he raps, “Kendrick just opened his mouth, someone go hand him a Grammy right now.”
As players progress through the levels, the game's difficulty increases, with Kendrick’s head swaying from side to side while a digitized version of the "Family Matters" instrumental plays in the background.
The game's credits take a swipe at Lamar’s streams, stating, “Made by some real ones to prove a point. That Not Like Us game was trash. KBots backdooring the plays like Kendrick’s Spotify, haha.”
The game's X account has challenged media outlets, saying, “Let’s see if @Complex, @XXL and all the other sites run with the Family Matters Game like they did the other game. Someone send this ish to @Akademiks.”
A fan amused by the game commented, “Nah this is hilarious, whoever made this.”
The rivalry between the fan bases appears to still be in play.
Nevertheless, the Billboard Hot 100 paints a different picture.
On the chart dated July 20th, Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” reclaimed the top position, while Drake’s “Family Matters” disappeared from the rankings completely.
Although Drake released “Family Matters” on May 4th, Kendrick quickly fired back with “Meet The Grahams,” ultimately paving the way for “Not Like Us” to deliver the finishing blow.
