In an official statement, Lamar confidently expressed, “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.”

The creative direction for the performance will be orchestrated by Lamar’s company, pgLang, with Diversified Production Services bringing the halftime show telecast to life.

Joining forces as executive producers are Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and Jesse Collins, with Hamish Hamilton taking up the director’s role. Additionally, Roc Nation will serve as the strategic entertainment advisor for the live performance.

Renowned mogul Jay-Z praised Lamar, stating, “Kendrick Lamar is truly a once-in-a-generation artist and performer. His deep love for hip-hop and culture informs his artistic vision. He has an unparalleled ability to define and influence culture globally. Kendrick’s work transcends music, and his impact will be felt for years to come.”

Lamar’s participation in this major musical event comes on the heels of his appearance at the star-studded Super Bowl LVI halftime show, which showcased a stellar lineup including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, and Anderson .Paak.

This announcement follows Usher’s headline performance at the last Super Bowl halftime show, where he was joined by Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Lil Jon, H.E.R., and Jermaine Dupri for a hit-filled set in Nevada.
