As reported by People, Grammy nominated Hip-Hop artist Calvin “Snoop Dogg” Broadus and Bay area Hip-Hop artist and slangologist Earl “E-40” Stevens have teamed up in the kitchen to give “game” to the masses on food and flavor.
The book is a follow-up to Snoop’s first cookbook, From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes from Tha Boss Dogg’s Kitchen. Snoop Dogg Presents Goon with the Spoon will present more than 65 recipes with inspiration from Snoop and E-40's music, along with meals they prepare and eat together.
E-40 or “40” as he’s affectionately known, has been working with Snoop since the onset of Snoop's music career and also collaborated with Snoop to form Hip-Hop supergroup Mt. Westmore alongside Ice Cube and Too Short in late 2020.
According to People, in the book’s foreword, Snoop wrote, “E-40 is my big homie, my brother, my mentor.” “Watching him expand his love for food and cooking over the years to his many successful businesses is some boss-level shit. Which is why Snoop Dogg Presents Goon with the Spoon had to be the next cookbook, ya dig?”
“It’s the seriously entertaining new addition fans are hungry for," the book's publisher said.
Well recognized for his many business endeavors, Snoop is no stranger to the world of cuisine. His long standing friendship with Martha Stewart has been a source of exposure to the world of kitchen television. Snoop was a returning guest on her cooking show, and they co-hosted their own celebrity cooking series and served as judges on the Peacock special

Snoop has also collaborated with the legendary Master P as the co-founder of Broadus Foods company, which donates its profits to the organization Door of Hope.
According to People, Snoop has another venture outside the kitchen on the way. A biopic, which will be directed by Allen Hughes and written by Joe Robert Cole, is currently in development with Universal Pictures.
